#mustreadin2018 - final update

This is my #mustreadin2018 final update.  I love participating in this reading challenge hosted by Carrie Gelson of There's a Book for That because it connects me with a community of readers and encourages me to read newly released books to share with my students.  In January, I created my #mustreadin2018 reading goals.  As a reminder, here they are:

In the end, I read ALL of the picture books on my list and ALMOST ALL of the chapter books on my list.  Where did I fall short?  I still need to read Smart Cookie and Game Masters of Garden Place.  I did manage to read some new books that were not on my list since my update last September.  They are . . .

Extra Picture Books I Read - #mustreadin2018

Blue is a beautiful book!

Cute as an Axolotl is another fun nonfiction book by Jess Keating.

Dreamers has a good chance at winning a Caldecott Medal.

I read Fangsgiving to my students for Thanksgiving and they loved it!

Hey, Wall is a beautiful book!

My students really enjoyed Horse Meets Dog.

My students loved Huggie and Stick!

I love this new series by Mo Willems!

Imagine is a beautiful book!

Mission Defrostable is another fun book by Josh Funk.

The Stuff of Stars has a good chance at winning a Caldecott Medal.

I read Stumpkin for Halloween and my students really enjoyed it.  It's adorable!

Extra Chapter Books I Read - #mustreadin2018

I did not get much chapter book reading done this fall.  I find the first semester of school and fall activities (Halloween, football games, the holiday season) a bit overwhelming.  As a result, my reading (and exercising) decreases.  Anyone else feel that way?
